A new marketing and communications manager was elected for the city

The Kankaanpää City Council established the position of Marketing and Communications Manager in spring 2017. The previous Marketing and Communications Manager resigned this autumn and the position was re-advertised.

18 applications were received by the deadline. 9 people were invited to interview. Based on the applications and interviews with the applicants, Leena Kuusimäki, B.Eng., Senior Bachelor of Arts, was selected for the position of Marketing and Communications Manager, effective January 1.1.2023, XNUMX.

Leena Kuusimäki has joined the City of Kankaanpää through the municipal merger from the Municipality of Honkajoki, and she has served as Deputy Marketing and Communications Manager since April 2021.

Kuusimäki has previously worked, among other things, at the advertising agency SEK as a project planner and as a press secretary at the Niinisalo garrison, then the Artillery Brigade.

"I have lived in Kankaanpää for a long time and am very familiar with the city's strengths and functions. In addition, this position has already become familiar through my deputyship. I am excited to accept the position and want to be involved in developing our city," he says.

The Marketing and Communications Manager serves as the manager of the Marketing and Communications service unit of the Administration and Human Resources result area. The service unit's areas of responsibility include developing marketing and communications, managing various communication channels, producing daily communications that support the city's strategy, marketing planning, brand development and visual identity, event coordination and communications, media cooperation, and supporting the communications and marketing of the entire organization.
