In the municipalities of Kankaanpää, Jämijärvi and Pomarkku, operators are being sought to organize temporary care for recovered stray animals starting in May 2025.
The City of Kankaanpää enters into an agreement with the service provider, the terms of which include the details of the operation and the compensation to be paid.
The operation requires appropriate facilities for the care and storage of found animals (dogs, cats and other small companion and hobby animals) for 15 days after recovery.
The operation must meet the requirements set out in the Animal Welfare Act (693/2023) for the professional keeping of animals. The service provider must have a responsible person who is obliged to ensure that the recovery site is kept in compliance with the requirements.
The City of Kankaanpää invites private individuals, companies or those considering entrepreneurship in the field to express their interest in discussing the organization of the service via email.
