The military oath and military insurance ceremonies for the new recruits who began their service in July at the Niinisalo garrison of the Pori Brigade will be celebrated in the central area of Kankaanpää on Friday, August 14.
In Kankaanpää, recruits from the Satakunta Artillery Regiment, the Ostrobothnia Jaeger Battalion, and the 2nd Maintenance Company of the Southwest Finland Maintenance Battalion will take the military oath and give the military declaration.
The event will be held at the Kankaanpää Sports Center on August 14, 2026, according to the following schedule:
- 10:00–16:00 equipment exhibition
- at 11:30 a.m. military insurance at the ballpark
- 12:10 p.m. troop formation on the parade ground
- 12:25 p.m. Pori Brigade flag reception
- 12:30 p.m. military oath-taking and field service
- at approximately 1:15–2:00 p.m. parade
The equipment exhibition will be held on the sand field behind the sports field. The parade will take place on Kuninkaanlähteenkatu.
During the parade, the streets listed in the appendix will be closed to vehicle traffic for an estimated time between 12:30 and 2:30 p.m.. Please note the unusual traffic arrangements. You can leave the Kangasmoisionkatu area via Niementie through the Reimankallio residential area.
