Hörhiäinen is the name given by the people of Kankaanpää to an active and positive person who, through his actions, creates a lot of well-being around him. Hörhiäinen makes people happy and visits different places and events during his representative year.

The year 2026 you can suggest Hörhiäinen until Mon 17 August by email to [email protected] or on paper at the Kankaanpää Main Library and Honkajoki Library during their service hours (see service hours kirjasto.kankaanpaa.fi)Remember to justify your suggestion!

The final selection will be made based on the proposals by a selection panel, which includes representatives from the city, Kankaanpään Seutu, Kankaanpään Yrittäjät and Lions Club. The 2026 Hörhiäinen will be announced on Friday, August 28th, at 21 on the stage of the market square.
