The North Satakunta digitalization project has been investigating the state of electronic services in the region's municipalities since last year. A lot of development work has already been done, including in terms of the accessibility of municipal websites and other statutory issues. The project is now moving into the piloting phase of various services and a survey on the development of electronic services will be published to support this.
– In the project, we aim to improve customer service for residents, develop better digital channels and make the use of existing systems more efficient. Through the survey, we also aim to involve residents in the development work, project coordinator Heli Puputti says.
Survey reveals residents' views on electronic services
The digital survey, which will be carried out during March and April, aims to find out the views of local residents on electronic services in different sectors. The survey will be carried out in all project municipalities, which are Jämijärvi, Kankaanpää, Karvia, Pomarkku and Siikainen.
– The project municipalities are in somewhat different situations when it comes to developing electronic services, but there is also a lot in common, says Puputti. – Through the survey, we are seeking support for the views that emerged during the project on the utilization of electronic solutions in various services.

Pilots coming, for example, in the feedback service
In the coming months, the digital project will pilot various electronic service and feedback channels, which it is hoped will improve the service experience of municipal residents and involve them in the development of their own municipality through easier and faster feedback.
– The services that will be piloted are very interesting, says project coordinator Puputti. – We are testing a feedback service based on location data in municipalities, and we are also starting to build electronic forms that can utilize Suomi.fi identification. Chat services familiar from many companies' websites will also be available on some municipalities' websites, where you can chat with the municipality's customer service or leave contact requests at certain times.
In addition, in the near future, municipalities will also be introducing Suomi.fi messages on a more extensive scale in their communication with residents.
