What can be purchased with 50.000 euros to make the city's residents happy?
Participatory budgeting is a method of involving city residents in discussions, planning and decision-making regarding shared tax resources. There is no single correct method for participatory budgeting. It can be implemented in many different ways. In Kankaanpää, the participatory budgeting experiment begins with a €50.000 allocation in the city budget, the use or uses of which can be planned and decided by the residents. First, ideas are proposed and then a vote is taken.
There are no restrictions on the target group or location of the proposals. Municipal residents are free to come up with ideas. Proposals should be submitted electronically at https://link.webropolsurveys.com/S/F52026C2AB4F6D3A or a written proposal can be submitted to the Kankaanpää Library or Honkajoki Library. The deadline for submitting proposals is Sunday, May 19.5th.
All proposals will be reviewed and the Innovation Working Group will select the proposals to be voted on. Vote is for everyone who turns 12 this year (born in 2012 or earlier). The vote will take place between May 28.5 and June 9.6.2024, XNUMX..
The allocated funds will be used to implement as many proposals with the most votes as the allocated funds allow. This means that several small proposals or one mega proposal of 50.000 euros can be implemented with the allocated funds. The idea can be implemented by the city itself or, for example, by an association or action group. The projects to be implemented with the allocated funds will be announced in week 24.
