The City of Kankaanpää is organizing a public event regarding the change in the zoning plan for the intersection of Keskuskatu and Jämintie.

The City Planning Board decided at its meeting on October 28, 2025, to approve Section 77 of the plan amendment preparation phase interaction procedure and to make the participation and assessment plan available for public viewing. The participation and assessment plan was made available for public viewing on November 6. December 4, 2025.

The main objective of the plan amendment is to prepare a local plan for the area that will enable the construction of new traffic arrangements at the intersection of Keskuskatu and Jämintie. The aim of the changes made possible by the local plan is to improve traffic safety in the planning area and to streamline traffic in the area.

The event will be held February 4, 2026 at 5:00 PM starting at the council chamber of Kankaanpää City Hall at Kuninkaanlähteenkatu 12, 38700 Kankaanpää. The event is open to everyone.
