The locations of the Satakunta employment area have been decided. The centralized locations of the future employment area are located in Pori, Kankaanpää and Harjavalta.
The locations of the offices were confirmed when the Pori City Council authorized the technical sector to promote the rental of the premises of the Harjavalta office at Myllykatu 10 in its meeting on Monday. In addition to the centralized offices, there is a service point in each municipality in the employment area.
The Satakunta employment area consists of Harjavalta, Jämijärvi, Kankaanpää, Karvia, Kokemäki, Merikarvia, Nakkila, Pomarkku, Pori, Siikainen and Ulvila. The responsible municipality for the Satakunta employment area will be the City of Pori.
Employment areas are part of the Act on the Organization of Employment Services, which will enter into force in 2025, and which transfers responsibility for employment and economic services from the state to municipalities. The reform aims to provide services that are better targeted and meet the needs of local labor markets.
