The City of Kankaanpää is closing the swimming pool and other facilities at the sports center and the youth center, and prohibiting events for outsiders and evening and weekend use of city-managed properties. The restrictions on the use of the facilities will be in effect until the end of May.

The city is supplementing the instructions it issued on Friday, March 13.3th in this regard in accordance with the instructions received from the North Satakunta Basic Services Municipal Federation (PoSa). PoSa instructs to follow the recommendations of the Administrative Council to limit all non-essential activities. This applies to activities that involve close contact with other people, such as hobbies or sports. The restrictions are particularly important to protect risk groups.

The city library and museum are open for the time being. Events have been cancelled and the units are not accepting groups. Music Institute teaching continues, but concerts have been cancelled.

Regarding schools and daycare centers, the development of the situation is being monitored and national guidelines are being followed.

In accordance with PoSa's instructions, the city is also supplementing the instructions it has given to its personnel. All gatherings that are not necessary should be cancelled in principle. Gatherings of more than 10 people are being avoided.
