Satakunta's coronavirus situation improving - lockdown in the spread phase will continue until March 28.3th

The Satakunta regional infectious disease control working group (ATTR) met on 18.3.2021 March XNUMX and stated that Satakunta is still in the spread phase, but is already approaching the acceleration phase. The epidemic is slowing down in Satakunta, but the epidemic situation is worsening in Southwest Finland and the Helsinki Metropolitan Area. The situation could deteriorate rapidly in Satakunta as well if precautions are relaxed.

During the last review period (3–16.3.2021 March 133), there have been a total of 61,7 cases in the entire Satakunta region (incidence 100 / 000 / 14 days). There have been 2 infections in the area of the Northern Satakunta Basic Services Joint Municipality (PoSa) during the review period.

The municipal leaders of the North Satakunta region, the management team of the City of Kankaanpää, and Margit Seppälä, the chief physician responsible for infectious diseases at PoSa, assessed the situation for the entire North Satakunta region at a meeting held on Friday, May 19.3.2021, 26.3.2021. The next situation review will be held on Friday, May XNUMX, XNUMX.

Current recommendations and restrictions

Satakunta is implementing all available official recommendations and regulations to contain the epidemic. Therefore, ATTR will not make any changes to these at this stage.

  • The most extensive mask recommendation and remote working recommendations are still in effect, which it is also important for employers to follow.
  • Regarding schools, AVI's decision on distance learning in secondary schools is valid until March 28.3.2021, 29.3.2021. Based on the current improving epidemiological situation, ATTR does not propose continuing distance learning in basic education after this, so on March XNUMX, XNUMX, secondary schools will switch back to face-to-face teaching, unless the government changes its policy or the epidemiological situation deteriorates significantly again. Secondary schools and upper secondary schools will continue with distance learning for the time being.
  • The recommendations regarding hobbies remain unchanged.
  • According to AVI's restrictions, all public events and general gatherings of more than six people are prohibited, and smaller ones should be avoided whenever possible. The decision is valid until March 26.3th, and AVI is preparing a decision on extending the gathering restrictions. The decision will be published at the beginning of week 12.
  • ATTR's recommendation to refrain from gatherings of more than six people applies to private gatherings.
  • According to the decisions of the AVI, the temporary closure of premises in the municipalities of the Satakunta region to prevent the spread of the epidemic (TTL § 58 g) is valid until 21.3.2021 March 58. The prevention of close contacts (TTL § 3.4.2021 d) is valid until 19.3.2021 April XNUMX. AVI press release XNUMX March XNUMX: https://avi.fi/tiedote/-/tiedote/69904149
