Mixed waste

If necessary, the property owner has the right to obtain an extract from the waste management register from the waste transporter, which shows that the driver is included in the waste transport register and has permission to transport the waste in question. The transport company transports the mixed waste to an approved waste station, from where it is transferred for processing as mixed municipal waste.

Biowaste

In Kankaanpää, there is no obligation to separately collect biowaste in residential properties with fewer than 5 apartments. However, you can voluntarily join the separate collection by purchasing either an empty biowaste container from a waste transport company of your choice that is registered in the waste transport register and has a permit to transport biowaste, or by purchasing a composter. Composting food waste must be reported to the waste management authority using the compost register notification form.

When collecting biowaste separately, special attention must be paid to the fact that the container must be intact and that pests, such as rats, must not enter the container. Non-native plants must not be placed in the compost or biowaste container, and separate collection must not cause littering.

Containers, shared containers and emptying interval
