Agricultural plastic
Agricultural plastic waste
Agricultural plastic waste includes:
- plastic bales and strings
- aumaplasts
- gauze
- wrapping nets
- drip and irrigation hoses
- tarpaulin
Sorting and storage of agricultural plastic waste
- keep different types of plastic separate
- white plastic, corrugated plastic and other colored plastics separately from each other
- separate dirty plastics from clean ones
Keep plastics clean and dry. It is a good idea to sort plastics according to type of plastic immediately after disposal on a dry, hard surface, either on a pallet, asphalt or on a slab. Store plastics in a place where they can be picked up by a truck, i.e. NOT at the edge of a field or on a soft or damp surface.
The plastic MUST NOT contain soil, metal, material residues or impurities, as they may cause hazardous situations when handling plastics.
Upon pickup, the driver checks that the plastics are suitable for recycling.
