Wood waste

Wood waste means:
- wooden furniture (without upholstery), wooden cabinets and chests of drawers
- wooden and pallets
- boards, planks, plywood, chipboard
- fiberboard and hardboard, wooden parquet
- painted wood, unpainted wood, wood removed from buildings
- wooden doors, window frames (without window glass)
- logs, sawn trees
Wood waste is delivered for chipping and burning in energy production. There is no need to remove nails from the wood waste.
Wood waste does not include:
- Furniture with fabric upholstery or partially upholstered furniture with wooden frames does not belong to wood waste but to mixed waste.
- Durable wood or pressure-treated wood is hazardous waste and is sorted separately for disposal for hazardous waste treatment. (Link to instructions for durable wood)
- Doors and window frames with glass, including windows, are received separately at Kooninkeitaa.
Wood waste is received:
Free of charge at the Kooninkeita sorting station.
