Paholammi wind energy general zoning sub-plan
Neoen Renewables Finland Oy is planning a wind farm in Honkajoki Paholammin planning area. PaholammiThe wind power sub-planning of the area has been ongoing since 2013 and it progressed all the way to the planning proposal stage in 2015. However, the planning project was not completed at that time because the project did not yet have a project actor who would have carried out the required environmental impact assessment procedure (EIA) for the area.
PaholammiThe planning area is located south of the Honkajoki settlement and is bordered to the east by the already completed Kirkkokallio wind farm. The planning area covers an area of approximately 715 hectares. The construction of a maximum of six new wind turbines is planned in the planning area. The total height of the planned turbines is a maximum of approximately 300 meters.
The aim of the planning of the partial master plan is to implement the construction of the wind farm taking into account the characteristics and environmental impacts of the natural environment and to mitigate any harmful impacts that may arise from the construction. In addition, the aim of the partial master plan is to take into account other land use needs in the area and the objectives that are formed during the planning process.
The partial master plan has been prepared in such a way that it can be used as a basis for building permits for wind turbines in accordance with Section 77 a of the Finnish Land Use and Development Act. An environmental impact assessment procedure was carried out in connection with the plan project. The partial master plan has been prepared with legal effect and has been approved by the Kankaanpää City Council.
PaholammiThe 2nd proposal phase of the wind power master plan was open for public viewing from February 26 to April 2, 2024. The city council approved the plan proposal and one complaint was received about the project during the complaint period.
