Addresses

Addresses are mainly given to properties and buildings used as construction sites. The municipality may, if necessary, give addresses to other sites, e.g. boat docks, piers or other identifiable locations.

The municipality is not responsible for the costs incurred by companies or residents due to changes to the address system or individual addresses.

Address numbers in the local plan area

The city plan area uses a sequential address number system related to plot division. Each plot or building site is given a sequential address number along the street.

Address numbers in sparsely populated areas

In sparsely populated areas, a distance-based 10-digit address system is used. The address number is determined by the distance from the junction or construction site to the starting point of the road. The last digit is omitted from the distance in meters, so 100 meters from the starting point of the road is the address number 10.
