In addition to the provisions of the Land Use and Building Act and Decree and other regulations and rules concerning land use and construction, the City of Kankaanpää must comply with the following: construction schedule (PDF) determines, unless otherwise provided for in a legally effective master plan, local plan or the Finnish Building Regulations.

BUILDING REGULATION RENEWAL 2024

The new Construction Act will enter into force on 1 January 2025. Since municipal building regulations must comply with the Construction Act, the new construction regulations will also be updated.

The City of Kankaanpää has, for its part, begun the reform work by submitting the building regulations participation and evaluation plan for approval to the City Planning Board on February 27, 2024, Section 19, and further to the City Board on March 4, 2024, Section 76.

A working group will be established to reform the building regulations. The working group will consult with officials and experts as needed as the reform progresses.

The purpose of the reform work is to bring the building regulations into line with the new Building Act in terms of both content and form. The administrative procedure related to the process will follow the procedure set out in the current Land Use and Building Act, as the process will be carried very far during the period of validity of the current Land Use and Building Act.

PARTICIPATION AND EVALUATION PLAN

In accordance with Section 27 of the Urban Planning Board of February 2024, 19 and Section 4 of the City Council of March 2024, 76, the first phase, i.e. the participation and evaluation plan, will be displayed for viewing from March 18 to April 15, 2024 and opinions on the OAS must be submitted in writing during the viewing period either by email to [email protected] or the City of Kankaanpää / Building Control, Kuninkaanlähteenkatu 12, 38700 Kankaanpää.

DRAFT PHASE OF THE BUILDING ORDER

The City Planning Board has decided at its meeting on 16 December 2025 to put the draft phase of the building regulations on display under Section 91. The announcement will be on display from 18 December 2025 to 20 January 2026.

BUILDING ORDER PROPOSAL PHASE

The City Planning Board has decided at its meeting on 27 January 2026 to make the proposal phase of the building regulations section 6 available for viewing. The announcement will be available from 3 February 2026 to 11 March 2026.
