Sales procedure

The city council decides on the sales procedure and price of plots according to the local plan. The sales procedure used in new areas is a joint search. Any remaining plots after the joint search are freely available for sale.

Before the final sale, a sales contract is concluded between the landowners and the city. In the sales contract, the city undertakes to sell the land to the buyer if construction on the land has begun by the deadline. If construction has not begun, the contract is automatically terminated and the land is returned to the free market for sale. In connection with the conclusion of the sales contract, the buyer pays the city 10 percent of the land purchase price, which is deducted from the purchase price of the final deed of sale. If the contract is terminated either based on the terms of the sales contract or at the buyer's request, the down payment paid will not be refunded. The deadline for the sales contract is determined so that the buyer has two summers to start construction and the contract expires on the last day of August of the second summer.

Single-family house plots are reserved by sales contract only for applicants who do not have an undeveloped city plot in their possession or reserved.
