For dogs
Dogs can live a real dog life in Kankaanpää. There are designated areas for dogs where they can run around!
Dog park
Kankaanpää dog park is located next to Niementie and the training field. The dog park is enclosed by a 2-meter high fence and has a separate entrance gate and maintenance gate. The Kankaanpää Dog Enthusiasts Association and the City of Kankaanpää are jointly responsible for the maintenance of the dog park. The dog park has lighting. The dog park is excellent for both summer and winter use.
Dog track
One of the city's trails is reserved for people walking with dogs. See track info.
Dog beach
There is one official dog swimming beach in Kankaanpää. Dogs can swim at the so-called old swimming beach located on the east side of Lake Ruokojärvi in Kankaanpää, which you turn off from Laviantie. When driving from the traffic light junction in the direction of Lavia, the exit is about 400 meters away.
Rules
According to the regulations, dogs may not be allowed on public beaches, in areas reserved for children's playgrounds, in the market during market hours, or on ski trails or sports fields renovated for public use, unless specifically permitted.
Pictures from the dog park
The city and dog enthusiasts are reminded to pay attention to the rules for using the area. The rules can be found on the wall of the dog park booth. The area is 3000m2 in size and is bordered by a 2-meter steel mesh fence. There is a maintenance booth in the area and there is both an access and maintenance gate. Note! The handle of the dog park gate opens upwards to prevent dogs from jumping open the gate.

The new dog park was implemented in collaboration between the city and dog enthusiasts.
