Kankaanpää Market Square is a lively marketplace!

Thursday is a traditional market day, when the city center is very bustling. The market is open all year round, and it also attracts a lot of people from surrounding municipalities. The Kankaanpää City Technical Center is responsible for the Thursday markets. If Thursday falls on a public holiday, the market day will be moved forward to the next weekday before the Thursday in question. Market hours on Thursdays: 7 am–13 pm.

The last market day of 2025 at Kankaanpää Market Square is Thursday 18.12.2025. The first market day of 2026 is 8.1.2026. From now on, the market days will continue as usual every Thursday.

Thursday Markets

Permanent sales spaces at Thursday markets are reserved through the city's technical center. Annual spaces are invoiced at the end of the year and a paid space entitles the trader to continue with their annual space for the following sales year. You can ask the technical center about available sales spaces. If a market vendor who has purchased an annual space does not arrive at their location by 9 a.m. on Thursday, the space can be sold as a one-time space if the temporary spaces are sold out. The city has the right to change market spaces if necessary in connection with possible municipal technical work at the market. Market space fees now also include the option to pay by card.

Saturday markets

Kankaanpään Yrittäjät ry's Saturday markets will not be held in the summer of 2025.

The market square is also a popular event venue and the renovated stage offers opportunities for a variety of activities.
