Stream water restoration volunteers in Pikkujoki
Restoration efforts are improving the living conditions of trout in the Pikkujoki River in Kankaanpää. Welcome to join us, there is something suitable for all ages!
The Pikkujoki river is home to naturally reproducing trout, and the aim is to improve their survival opportunities. Volunteers will be able to build spawning beds and spawning rocks, which will improve the trout's chances of reproducing and ensure that the small trout grow up. No previous knowledge is required, guidance is provided and there is something suitable for everyone.
Talks start at 11 am. Please register in advance on our website, where you can also find more information about the event: kvvy.fi/yhdistys/tapahtumat/ . If you want to come and watch the trial fishing, please arrive by 10:30 am. The trial fishing will determine the presence of trout in the areas to be restored before the restoration measures are implemented.
