HonkajokiThe committee has made the first decisions on the use of the 31.8 euros it received at its meeting on 30 August. The allocation is intended for the development of the area. The committee decided to support the purchase of mobile education equipment at Honkajoki co-educational upper secondary school with 000 euros. Environmental education has a significant position in the upper secondary school's new curriculum and the future equipment supports this goal.

In addition, the committee will begin publishing a newsletter, which is similar to the former Honkajoki municipality newsletter and will be published 3-4 times a year. The first publication will be in October. The newsletter will include current issues in the city and associations and other non-commercial actors will have the opportunity to inform about their activities in the Honkajoki area.

The committee also plans to organize a Christmas opening and market in Honkala, if the corona restrictions allow. The event will be organized in late November together with the Honkajoki Yrittäjät ry.
