The Kankaanpää Älylatu ski slope has been covered in snow and there is now about 1,3 kilometers of finished ski slope.

The starting point can be found near the sports center parking lot, at Jämintie 10.

The track was opened with snow cannons on Saturday, November 18.11th for the 11th time. Thanks to the hard-working volunteer team from the KankU ski department, who supervised the snow cannoning and spread the snow with the power of several machines.

"The snow cannoning went well, thanks to the good volunteers. The spreading was quick thanks to the professionals. The track was ready in about 6 hours, but it is based entirely on solid expertise. The drivers don't make a single unnecessary move, everything was handled like clockwork," says Susanna Salokangas, head of the KankU skiing department.

Did you know why the trail is called the "Smart Trail"? The lights along the trail are intelligently controlled, meaning their power is adjusted energy-efficiently and automatically throughout the day, according to the need for light and the movement of users.

The ice rinks have also started to freeze and you can already skate at the practice rink and Myllymäki.

You can conveniently check the real-time situation of the tracks and skating rinks at fabric.sometec.fi.
