Business services projects
The City of Kankaanpää's business services are involved in numerous different projects that develop the vitality of the area's business life.
Renewable economy as a compass for growth in North Satakunta
Implementation: 1.3.2025 – 31.5.2026
A project has been launched in the Northern Satakunta region to support companies in the region in moving towards a more sustainable and innovative economic model. The project aims to promote development processes in line with the green transition, allowing SMEs in the region to improve their environmental responsibility, create new business opportunities and reduce their carbon footprint. The project focuses on taking natural ecosystems into account in business operations and the use of innovations such as the circular economy and energy efficiency. Advisory services are available through the project in the municipalities of Kankaanpää, Jämijärvi, Karvia and Siikainen. The project is funded by a grant from the Central Finland ELY Centre, which covers a maximum of 80% of the approved costs, and municipal funding covers the remaining 20% of the total project costs.
The project provides practical support, training and resources to help companies understand how an innovative mindset can bring competitive advantage and improve sustainability. It also supports networking, collaboration with research institutions and other stakeholders, and helps companies apply for funding for new sustainable development projects. The project also aims to identify best practices that can help companies in the region implement sustainable business models in practice.
This project is part of a broader regional development measure that aims to strengthen the economic structure of North Satakunta and support the region's transition towards a carbon-neutral economy. The project supports companies in the region in developing their business.
