IH Kankaanpää, immigrant advice point
The project will launch the International House Kankaanpää service point in the city centre area. IH Kankaanpää will offer multilingual and in cooperation with various actors, official and advisory services to meet the needs of those who have moved to Kankaanpää and the region from abroad. The immigrant advice point will act as a common place that enables immigrant work and develops through cooperation. An important goal of the operation is to prevent the marginalization of immigrants and challenges related to relations between population groups. The project has received EU rural funding with the support of Leader Active Pohjois-Satakunta.
Verkostosta vetovoimaa - a collaborative project, a more attractive countryside through the cooperation of nine municipalities
A new type of cooperation project is underway in the Leader North Satakunta operational area with the efforts of nine municipalities. The measures of the Networking Attraction project promote attractive and sustainable living conditions in the municipalities located in the North Satakunta and Pirkanmaa regions, in cooperation with the municipalities and entrepreneurs in the region. Merikarvia, Siikainen, Pomarkku, Karvia, Kankaanpää and Jämijärvi from Satakunta and Kihniö, Parkano and Ikaalinen from Pirkanmaa have committed to the project. The project is co-financed by the European Rural Development Fund. The project period is 1 January 2024 – 30 June 2026.
