Kankaanpää athlete's path project

The project aims to strengthen the knowledge of athletes, clubs and educational institutions about dual careers – i.e. combining sports, studies and working life.

The project will pilot sports academy activities in Kankaanpää and develop new cooperation models between clubs and education. The goal is to create a permanent operating model for our city that enables young athletes to succeed in both sports and studies.

We want Kankaanpää to be known as a place where athletes can grow holistically. The project is implemented with Leader funding in cooperation with the Satakunta Sports Academy, clubs in the area, Pohjanlinna School, Kankaanpää Yhteislyseo and Sataedu.

We are part of the Satakunta Sports Academy.

Project period 1.8.2025-31.7.2027.

To whom?

The events are open to clubs that are involved in the project as implementers, according to our agreements. Information and various events are available separately and together for 7th graders and older athletes (13 years and up), instructors, coaches, guardians of sports students and supporters. In other words, for everyone who is interested in different forms of activity and willing to develop and learn more about coaching young athletes and its forms of support.
