Athlete of the Year (with Kankaanpään Seutu)

The Kankaanpää Athlete of the Year is selected in cooperation with the local newspaper Kankaanpään Seutu. The expert jury consists of two (2) people. The public votes are also taken into account in the selection.

Young Athletes and Club Employees of the Year

The city's welfare committee annually selects the female and male athlete of the year, the veteran athlete of the year, the club employee of the year, and the leader of the year, and awards athletic scholarships to talented young people.

The Hörhiäinen of the Year

The manifestation of the well-being theme in Kankaanpää is the Hörhiäinen. It is the Kankaanpää residents' own name for an active, proactive, positive person who creates energy around them. The Hörhiäinen creates activities, events, changes, opportunities and is strongly committed to working together. The Hörhiäinen of the year has been selected in Kankaanpää for several years in connection with the Hörhiäisviikko (Hörhiäis Week).

The Kankaanpää Society annually awards the title of Kankaanpää Long-Term Medalist for long-term and significant work for the benefit of the region, as well as the Kankaanpää Medal for meritorious work for the benefit of Kankaanpää.
