Regional city Kankaanpää
The city of Kankaanpää is involved in the regional city network. The regional city network is a cooperation network formed on the basis of voluntary work by 57 cities. Regional cities are cities that are the centers or pairs of centers of their own region and economic area, but not the centers of their provinces. Regional cities have a population of almost a million and are home to over 70 000 companies. They are centers of a smooth life, where combining work and family, as well as diverse and high-quality leisure time, is easy and straightforward. The Association of Local and Regional Authorities coordinates and forms a platform for the network and provides expert support for its operations.
