The Kankaanpää City Group includes subsidiaries. In addition, the city is involved in joint municipal boards. As an owner-manager, the city board monitors and directs the group's subsidiaries to operate in accordance with the strategy. The management of the city group is guided by the City Council's approved on November 13, 2017 and amended by the Joint Council on March 29, 2021 Group guidelines 2021 (PDF).
The purpose of the Group Guidelines is to
- To support the conditions for the management of the city group and ownership steering so that the group can be guided by uniform instructions and operating principles.
- Ensures the overall interest of the group, the implementation of the ownership policy guidelines set by the council for subsidiaries, and the operational and financial goals in accordance with the Companies Act and the Municipal Act.
- To define how the steering, monitoring, reporting and supervision of subsidiary entities are organised. The aim of the group guidelines is to increase the transparency of the operations of entities belonging to the city group, improve the quality of information received by the city from the entity and make the flow of information more efficient.
