Kankaanpää municipal election results on Yle's results service

 

The regional and municipal elections will be held simultaneously on Sunday, April 13, 2025. By voting, you will influence who will decide on important issues that affect everyone's everyday life for the next four years. You can vote in both elections at the same time. However, if you wish, you can also vote in different elections at different times or exercise your right to vote only in one election.

  • Regional elections elect representatives to regional councils, which are responsible for organizing social and health services and rescue services in welfare areas.
  • Municipal elections elect representatives to municipal councils, who decide on the municipality's operations and finances.

Polling stations in the voting districts on the actual election day, April 13, 2025:

1. Kankaanpää West / Impivaara Daycare Center
2. Kankaanpää East / Kankaanpääsali Event hall lobby
3. Kankaanpää North / Honkajoki Office Building

The polling stations open at 9.00 a.m. and close at 20.00 p.m.

The voter is obliged to present proof of identity to the election officer. You must bring proof of identity (identity card, passport, driving license or other similar document) to vote. If a person entitled to vote does not have the identity document required for voting, the police will issue them a temporary identity card free of charge. When applying for a temporary identity card, the applicant must bring two passport photos in accordance with the police instructions.

Advance voting locations are accessible. Every person eligible to vote may vote at public advance voting locations.

 

Advance voting at home (home voting)

You can vote early at home if your ability to move and function is limited to such an extent that you cannot reach the advance voting location or the polling station on election day without unreasonable difficulties. You must register to vote at home with the Central Election Board of your municipality of residence no later than the day before the start of the advance voting period. Home voting will be conducted between 2 and 8 April 2025 9-20.

A person who wishes to vote in advance at home must notify us in writing or by telephone at tel. 044 577 2170 To the Central Election Board of the City of Kankaanpää no later than Tuesday, April 1, 2025, before 16.00  The notification can also be made on behalf of the voter by a person chosen by the voter. If a caregiver living in the same household intends to vote in connection with home voting, this must be mentioned in the notification. Written registration can be made in a free form or using a home voting form in accordance with the format approved by the Ministry of Justice. Advance voting system voting

Institutional voting for advance voting will be organized in the city of Kankaanpää at the following institutions: Kanerva-koti, Kerttu-koti, Tapalankallio Nursing Home, Mäntykalliokoti, Koivurinne Service Center, Kankaanpää Social Services Center in-patient ward, Kankaanpää Rehabilitation Center, Kuninkaanpuisto, Villa Rauhala, nursing and service homes Sinirinta, Kultakangas and Ihanakallio, and Niinisalo Garrison.

An election committee appointed by the city government will arrive at each institution in the municipality to conduct the vote on at least one and at most two days falling within the advance voting period. Only persons being treated or admitted to the institutions may vote in the institutions. Others, such as the institution's staff, do not have the right to vote in the institutional vote.
