Communication

The City Government manages the city's communications regarding the city's activities. The City Government approves general guidelines on the principles of communication and information and appoints the officials responsible for communications. The institutions create the conditions for transparent operations in their own areas of responsibility in the preparation of matters and decision-making.

The City Board, committees, the Mayor and the leading officials of the sectors ensure that the city's residents and service users receive sufficient information about matters of general importance that are being prepared and can participate in and influence the preparation of these matters.

Communication uses clear and understandable language and takes into account the needs of the city's different resident groups.

The head of marketing and communications is responsible for the city's communications.
