This statement was prepared on November 27, 2020 and applies to the site www.kangaanpaa.fi and www.visitkangaanpaa.fi. This statement is based on an accessibility assessment conducted in September 2020. The assessment was carried out by Aarnikukko Oy. The testing assessed the accessibility of the technical implementation, the structure of the pages, and the accessibility and understandability of the content. The testing was based on the WCAG 2.1 accessibility standard, which was supplemented by the testers' many years of extensive personal experience with the accessibility of online services and, in particular, assistive technology software for the visually impaired.

Inaccessible content

The deficiencies in the criteria listed below do not currently comply with the accessibility criteria, as the site is temporarily subject to a derogation under Article 5 of the EU Accessibility Directive due to disproportionate burden. The main shortcomings in content accessibility:

  • The event calendar is redirected to a shared website run by a different administrator (Satakunta event database) which does not meet accessibility requirements.
  • Agendas and minutes are not readable with assistive technology. The accessibility issue in these files will be fixed by the end of 2021.
  • The pages contain PDF documents and forms that are not accessible.
