Technical information for the Kankaanpääsali Event Hall
Stand
The Kankaanpääsali Event Hall has 307 seats. The distance from the front edge of the stage steps to the first fixed row of benches is approximately 2,6 meters (seat at the top).
Audio system
For basic teaching, the space is equipped with image and sound systems. The systems are controlled by a touch screen, which makes the operating threshold relatively low. Image playback is provided with computer interfaces, Bluray and a digital set-top box. In addition, due to the size of the space, teachers have access to wireless and wired microphones.
Special activities
For special events, the hall has a high-quality sound and video system and a good lighting system. The sound system consists of the following components:
- Behringer X32 digital mixing console
- JBL Vertex line array speaker system
- JBL and EV monitor speakers
- AKG wireless microphones with boom mics and headsets
- Microphones from AKG, Shure and Neumann, for example for band activities
- The image and sound of the performances can also be transmitted to the school's antenna network.
- There is an induction loop system for the hearing impaired. Although the system itself is sufficient for most concerts and performances, the sound system can also be expanded if necessary.
Lighting
The system includes, among other things, the following:
- Lighting control desk Chamsys MagicQ Compact Connect and ETC Congo Kid
- ETC Sensor series dimmers 96 pcs.
- ETC's S4 profiles
- Par lights for stage colouring and effect lighting
- LED lights for stage lighting
- Fresnell spotlights for theatrical lighting
- Martin Mac 700 series, Varytec Hero Spot/Wash series and Showtec Kanjo Spot series moving lights
- 2 ADJ Entour Venue smoke machines
The system can be used to create almost any presentation that can be implemented in the space. The space has control network points and power connections for expansion.
Mechanics
The hall's lifting equipment also enables small-scale theatre activities. All light traps and stage poles are mechanically controlled for occupational safety. Light traps have been purchased for both the auditorium and the stage for hanging lamps. The stage also has pipes for hanging sets. The stage also has curtains for theatre activities, which include a white and black back curtain, side covers and a front curtain.
Acoustics
The acoustics of the hall need to be modified. The reverberation and speech clarity of the room can be changed simply with a remote control. For speaking events, the room should have a fairly short reverberation time. In this case, the curtains in the auditorium are drawn forward. For acoustic events such as concerts, all the curtains are drawn together, which increases the reverberation of the hall, giving the listener a more concert hall-like impression.

The system is controlled using Blackmagic Design Atem Television Studio HD. In addition to multi-camera implementations and recordings, audio can be recorded using multi-track technology. This guarantees high-quality recordings and streaming.
