The Culture and Leisure Committee selects the Athlete of the Year. The selection criteria are the athlete's success and role model as a good competitive athlete. The Athlete of the Year is awarded with the Athlete of the Year award plate.

Young female and male athlete of the year

Young female and male athlete of the year

The Culture and Leisure Committee selects the female and male athlete of the year. The nominated young athlete must be between 14 and 17 years old. The selection criteria are: sporting success, positivity, determination, ability to cooperate and a positive attitude towards life. The female and male athlete of the year will be awarded with the award bell of the presidium. The title of female and male athlete of the year can only be obtained once.

Veteran Athlete of the Year

Veteran Athlete of the Year

The Culture and Leisure Committee selects the Veteran Athlete of the Year, who is an adult athlete who has reached the age of 35. The veteran athlete has achieved success in the veteran series of his or her sport and serves as a good role model for those who maintain their fitness even in later adulthood. The Veteran Athlete of the Year is awarded the Veteran Athlete of the Year award plate. The title of Veteran Athlete of the Year can only be obtained once.

Social Worker of the Year

Social Worker of the Year

The Culture and Leisure Committee selects the Social Worker of the Year, who has distinguished himself as an implementer and/or influencer of local fitness and health exercise, the person has a background of several years of activity, and his/her own personal fitness and health exercise is also considered an advantage. The Social Worker of the Year will be awarded at the Satakunta Sports Gala and with the Social Worker of the Year award plate. The Social Worker of the Year title can only be awarded once.

Physical activity of the year

Physical activity of the year

The Culture and Leisure Committee selects the Sports Act of the Year. The award can be granted to a person, organization or event that has positively promoted sports in Kankaanpää through their own activities, either through their life's work, visibility, scope of activities or inspiring approach. The Sports Act of the Year is awarded with the Sports Act of the Year award plate. The title of Sports Act of the Year can only be awarded once.

Sports scholarship recipients

Recipients of athletic scholarships

A medal to qualify for a scholarship must be achieved in a Finnish Championship event that is contested at the Olympic Games or is organised by a national sports federation (full member).
Scholarships can also be awarded to representative athletes who have represented Finland at the World Championships, European Championships, World Championships or Olympic competitions. The categories for which an athlete can be awarded are the 15-year-olds - general category.
