June 27-August 9, 2026: the swimming pool is closed.
- June and August: Closed on weekends (Sat–Sun).
- Exceptional opening conditions: Open on Saturdays August 22 and August 29, 2026.
Change in the opening hours of the sports center's customer service starting August 10, 2026;
The cash desk and customer service are open as normal, but are closed on weekdays for two short breaks, 11 – 11.20 and 17 – 17.20.
Please remember that on weekdays (8-14) lanes 3 – 6, the multi-purpose and small pools may be reserved for schools.
Lane 1 for water runners, lane 2 for fitness swimmers, hydrohex at the shallow end of lane 1 where possible. (facilities)

Up-to-date pool reservation status
The Kankaanpää swimming pool, renovated in 2018-2019, is located in connection with the sports center at Jämintie 10. The pool area includes a 25-meter large pool, a multi-purpose pool with a slide and massage showers, and a small pool. Separate washroom and changing room facilities for women and men are functional and comfortable. The hall also has 2 saunas for hire and a group changing room (on the men's side). The washroom and pool facilities are equipped with wheelchair accessible equipment. Welcome to swim!

Series ticket wristband €6. Please note! Series ticket users do not leave their wristband in the hatch at the gate at the exit, but take the wristband with them.

**For users with physical disabilities/equivalent and intellectual disabilities, the usage fee is 10 € / hour.
– No separate usage fee is charged to the person's escort, but it is included in the €10/hour booking fee.
– The target group in question does not need to make a separate application. The assessment is made during the sales situation.
For use of the swimming pool by groups of local associations over the age of 18, €300 / year. Billing is based on 1 shift per week.

Booking status: Indoor swimming pool lane reservations
On weekdays, lanes 1 and 2 are reserved for water running and swimming.
Lanes 3-6 are available for schools to reserve during public hours.

About swimming school reservations:
If you make a swimming school reservation in the online store, you must also pay for the reservation there.
Registration starts on May 13, 2026 at 9 online.

Swimming schools are intended for children born in 2021 and older.
Non-swimmers →Small pool (water skills and basic skills are completed)
Low-skilled → Middle pool (beginner and hobbyist marks are completed)
Performers→ Large pool (Canadian swimming champion, swimming master and primus master medals)
A tip for adults:
Preschoolers and younger who do not have any signs, report to the small pool.
If you already have a water skills badge, register your child for the middle pool group.
If there is an elementary sign, report it to the central pool group.
Only after the hobby sign is the large pool announced.

There is no need to register for water aerobics in advance. The swimming fee includes water aerobics.

With the EU Disability Card An assistant or support person can swim for free.

We also have a special swimming card. The card is personal and valid until the end of the calendar year. The price is 6 euros, a new card to replace a lost card costs 6 euros. By presenting the card, you are entitled to a discount on the normal swimming fee.
You can apply for a special swimming card electronically. special swimming card application. Applications are accepted by Ilari Köykkä, Sports and Wellbeing Coordinator. Please note that if you already have a card, you do not need to apply for it again. In these cases, it is sufficient to check your access rights at the sports centre cashier and add an annual sticker.

- Swimming time 1½ hours.
- Morning swim Monday – Thursday 7 – 8 am
- Ticket sales end one hour before closing time.
- The pool area closes half an hour before closing time.
- You must leave the washrooms (shower and sauna) 15 minutes before the swimming hall closes (at that time the sauna doors will be opened).
- You must leave the changing rooms before the swimming pool closes.
- On weekdays, lanes 1 and 2 are reserved for water running and swimming.
- Please note! The diving board or “ponkku” is closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- Water runners can use their own water running belts.
