Museum suitcases
The museum suitcases are aimed at teaching history to 5th-6th graders, but they can also be used with other groups. The suitcases contain objects that can be touched and recycled in the classroom. This way, they bring history into the hands. The suitcase contains explanations of the objects and tasks related to them. The material also includes photographs. A double lesson is planned to go through the material.
LOAN PERIOD: 1 week, no loan fee is charged. The borrower will be responsible for transporting the suitcase from the museum.
Tip: If you want, you can borrow all three suitcases and have a school day in the old days with your class!
SCHOOL suitcase
This suitcase introduces you to the old school days. The suitcase contains, among other things,
- Reading schedule from the 1930s (also on CD)
- Photos of school classes (on CD)
- 2 school aprons
- Fountain pens and bottles, fabric fountain pen nib dryer, calligraphy notebook
- Songbook/sheet music

HOME suitcase
This suitcase introduces you to the museum collection gathered by teacher Martta Sevio (1901–1993) and her students, which tells the story of life and work in the old days. The suitcase contains, among other things,

PARTY suitcase
This suitcase introduces you to the parties and games of the past. The suitcase contains, among other things:
- Photos of parties, toys and playing
- Coffee grinder and coffee grounds

- Wedding tiara
- Jute bags for sack racing
- Caramel rolls and straw decorations
The museum suitcases were created as part of the "Mrs. Martta's Journey" project. The project involved material outside the museum walls. In addition to the suitcases, the museum's website allows you to take a virtual tour of Kankaanpää's Keskuskatu in the 1930s.
The project was implemented in collaboration with the Kankaanpää City Museum, the Education Department and Kankaanpää College. The project received Leader support from the Active Northern Satakunta Association.
