Kankaanpää Art Circle

The story of the Art Circle, which circulates in the center of Kankaanpää, begins in 1996. The aim was to strengthen the dialogue between urban planning and art, and art was seen as an image factor for the city.

The Circle of Art has over a hundred works that were created through collaboration between the School of Fine Arts, the city, and the art association.

On Mrs. Martta's journey

On Mrs. Martta's journey, you will get to know Kankaanpää in the 1930s.

  • Sound path – download the audio trail to your player and walk along the current Keskuskatu street, listening to stories about the houses and residents
  • Museum suitcases – lend to your group and explore life through objects

The project "Mrs. Martha's Journey" was implemented in collaboration with the Kankaanpää City Museum, the Ministry of Education and the Kankaanpää College. The project received Leader support from the Active Northern Satakunta Association. The materials were completed in spring 2012.
