Youth council

The task of the youth council is to act as a guardian of the interests of the young people in their city. The youth council is made up of young people aged approximately 13–18, representing middle school, upper secondary school and vocational students. The members of the youth council are elected through elections.

Youth council members have the right to speak and be present at board meetings. Youth council members can also be invited to meetings of the city council and the management team. The term of office of the youth council is two years and the activities are directed through youth services.

SataNuva, the provincial youth influence group in Satakunta, meets regularly and representatives are elected from the Kankaanpää Youth Council.
