The Kankaanpää City Water Supply Department introduced a text message service to notify about disruptions in late 2022. The service has now expanded to also cover potential disruptions in municipal technology.

Messages are sent to publicly available phone numbers based on the addresses. If the customer has a work or private phone number, the phone number must be registered in order to receive text messages. Water supply messages come from the sender Vesihuolto and municipal technology from the sender Kankaanpää. The numbers stored in the system are not used for anything other than reporting faults. The numbers are not sold or passed on.

The website also includes a disturbance communication map, where you can view more detailed information by clicking on the icons on the map. You can also find a link to the disturbance map in the Kankaanpää application.
