The exhibition 'Who's Afraid of the Sun' by third and second year students Sakari Lumminen, Rosa Riihimäki, and Adi Saikkonen will open on June 9, 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Kankaanpää Gallery, Jämintie 2 D, 38700 Kankaanpää. Visitors to the exhibition will encounter graphics, paintings, sculptures, and spatial art in a diverse range.
The works, partly created as coursework and partly in their free time, form a whole that reflects the students' passion for developing and refining their own expression. The works are united by the versatile exploration and utilization of different techniques and materials. Courage in making artistic choices that challenges the visitor to reflect on their own relationship to visual art.
The exhibition is open from 10.6.2026 to 1.8.2026, during the normal opening hours of the Kankaanpää Gallery, which was founded in 2013 (Wed 12-18, Thu-Fri 12-16, Sat 11-14), except on Midsummer Day and its eve 19-20.6.2026.
