Labor supplement – Kankaanpää City grant for employers 2026
The grant is available for new employment relationships starting no later than August 31, 2026.
The City of Kankaanpää grants additional labor assistance to employers who hire job seekers from Kankaanpää who are in a difficult labor market situation. The aim of the support is to promote employment and lower the recruitment threshold.
The amount of the employment supplement is 500 euros per month, with a maximum of 6000 euros per employee. The support can be granted for a maximum period of 12 months.
The support is specifically aimed at:
- for the long-term unemployed
- for those under 30 years old
- for immigrants in the integration phase
- for apprentices
Key terms in brief:
- the employment relationship is new and more than 80% of full-time work
- The grant must be applied for within 1 month of the start of the employment relationship.
- the employment relationship lasts at least 3 months (support can be paid for a maximum of 12 months)

Student Support Vouchers 2026 / Application opens March 1, 2026
Kankaanpää is introducing a new form of support for youth employment, student aid voucherThe aim of the support is to promote the availability of labor and support the commitment of young people to local businesses.
The student support voucher supports the employment of young people who are in the final stages of their studies and are preparing for a profession, for summer work, internships or thesis work in companies located in Kankaanpää. The aim is to develop working life skills and support later employment in Kankaanpää.
Here's how:
Student in the final stages of his/her studies is applying for a student support voucher from the City of Kankaanpää
-> A company operating in Kankaanpää is hiring a young person. The employment relationship must be full-time and last at least two months.
-> The city of Kankaanpää pays a company 1000 euros in support for employing a young person. This is de minimis support for companies in accordance with the EU regulation.
The support model is the Innovation Working Group's flagship project for 2025.
An appropriation of 20.000 euros has been reserved for the introduction of student support vouchers for 2026. Applications will be processed in the order they are received.

The employer applies for payment of the student support voucher using an online form. Filling out the application form requires strong identification.
A signed employment contract must be attached to the application.

Summer jobs (application for 2026 has closed)
The city's summer jobs are available for applications annually during the first half of the year. The city's summer jobs are mainly positions offered to young people (16–24 years old) in the city's park services. The duration of the employment relationship is 4–8 weeks.
