Schools collaborate with homes to promote student well-being and improve learning outcomes. The starting point of the collaboration is building trust, equality and mutual respect. The school's task is to organize education in such a way that each student receives education that is appropriate to their own developmental level and needs. Parents, on the other hand, have primary responsibility for their child's upbringing and for ensuring that the child completes compulsory education.

We hope you will contact us with both pleasant and difficult matters. Our job is to work with you parents to resolve them. If your child is being bullied, has learning difficulties or is reluctant to go to school, please definitely contact the school.

Parents' evenings

Parents' evenings are announced according to school practices, mainly in Wilma. Parents' evenings are implemented in the following ways, for example:

  • in person meetings
  • as class-specific events
  • grade-by-grade
  • as a joint event for the whole school

Parents' associations

The aim of the parents' associations is to support the students' education and recreational activities and to act as a kind of link in the cooperation between home and school. In cooperation with the school staff, the parents' associations organize, among other things, small charity events and lectures. The funds received from the events and activities have been used to organize various trips for the students and to purchase teaching materials and after-school activities for the school, among other things. In order to ensure the continuity of the activities, parents' associations and committees are looking for new parents with new ideas and opinions.
