Early childhood education refers to a planned and goal-oriented whole of upbringing, teaching and care for a child, with a particular emphasis on pedagogy. Early childhood education personnel support the child's parents or other guardians in their educational task.

The implementation of early childhood education is guided by the Early Childhood Education Act and the national Early Childhood Education Plan.

The types of early childhood education services are:

  1. kindergarten activities
  2. family daycare
  3. club activities
  4. Private early childhood education with a service voucher.

A personal early childhood education plan (VASU) is prepared for all children aged 1–5 in early childhood education. The plan is prepared together with the guardians and includes goals and measures that support the child's development, learning and well-being.

The doors of the Education Office are kept locked for security reasons, meaning customer service will operate as before, but the upstairs door will not allow free entry. If a personal visit is necessary and the person has not arranged an appointment in advance, you can enter our office by ringing the doorbell next to the upstairs door. There is a phone number for each employee on the door, which you can use to reach the person you need. Customer service hours are still 9 a.m. to 15 p.m. The office is on the 2nd floor of the school center's administration wing.
