Home daycare

Family daycare is early childhood education that takes place in a group family daycare center or in the caregiver's own home. A family daycare center can care for a maximum of four children under school age at the same time in their home, including the caregiver's own children. In addition to their salary, the caregiver receives separate cost compensation for the children's meals and other expenses.

In family daycare, the average weekly working hours for a caregiver are 40 hours, which is determined based on the children's care times. The care times for children in family daycare are usually between 7.00 and 17.00.
